Specifications

The following description is provided to assist architects and engineers in specifying the installation of the Roof Drain De-Icing Systems cable Jig.

Supply and install (quantity____________) 4RDDJ22 Canale or Scupper Type-A Installation

Supply and install (quantity____________) 6RDDJ22 Primary Drain Type-B Installation

Supply and install (quantity____________) CABLE KEEPER Type-C Installation

Supply and install (quantity____________) CABLE KEEPER Type-D Installation

Type-A and Type-B Installations shall consist of a polar array of multiple metal parallel pair tracks, RAYS. Common roof and  gutter heat cable as specified under section_____________ is systematically placed in a specific pattern through all of the cable tracks on the roof drain(s) as specified under section_____________.

Type-C Installations shall consist of a rectangular array of multiple metal parallel pair tracks, CABLE KEEPERS.  Common roof and gutter heat cable as specified under section_____________ is systematically placed in a specific pattern through all of the cable tracks as specified under section_____________.  In heavy snow territories an upper lattice, expanded metal, is to be provided and systematically riveted to the face of the CABLE KEEPERS to act as a framework and  heat sink to greatly improve snow melting capabilities.

Type-D Installations shall consist of tandomly series of multiple metal parallel pair tracks, CABLE KEEPERS.  Common roof and gutter heat cable as specified under section_____________ is systematically placed in a specific pattern through all of the cable tracks as specified under section_____________.

The Jig is designed so as not to anchor directly to the roofing system.  Appropriate accessories are offered with the Jig.  The completed apparatus, including the heat cable, is then mounted on a roof     drainage installation to ensure no ice will form, thereby effectively promoting water flow into the drain during freezing conditions.
